So you are thinking of purchasing the second biggest thing to owning your own home? A BRAND NEW CAR! You already have in mind the type of vehicle you wish for and even perhaps the color and model of the car you intend on buying. If you haven’t thought this much through- its time to narrow those questions down.

Even asking yourself questions like, ‘What do want this vehicle to be like on the inside, what features do I require?’, are all good questions to be asking yourself before you hit the car yard sales!

Competition and demand are two of the most popular things circuiting on the car sales market. Keep in mind that when you’re looking for your particular vehicle, being specific is good, but being too specific sometimes can hinder your chances of getting a great deal on the day.

If it is a specific color you are wishing for, or certain trims, you may not get the deal you are after and dealers will be more inclined to charge you full price if you are picky over exactly what you want.

Good salesman in car yards will be open and connecting with what you want, bad salesmen will be push and steer you towards other vehicle’s they think are good for you! Remember, that it is YOUR purchase, not theirs! And most importantly- its YOUR money!

When you have found, road tested with the dealer the car of your dreams and you are ready to sign and take over, be prepared for hidden costs that occur in car sales. You have to keep in mind the price range you have to spend on the day- and that you cannot budge any further than this! Keep vigil the whole time through the sales process to ensure you don’t give away any signs that you are pleased with the purchase price!

Once the mind is set and you are happy with agreed price, it is now time to look the car over thoroughly. It may be wise for you to call upon a close friend or family member to help you with this. Looking for any scratches, dents, what condition the wheels are in etc…. just to be sure you are getting exactly what you are paying for on the day!

Most vehicles straight off a show room floor are detailed, leaving that nice, new smell in the car and also come with a full tank of fuel. So be sure to not get ripped at the desk on this one!
